Joy Unspeakable

With the release of NEED on October 6th, I thought it would be cool to give you a sneak preview of each song on the new record. So every Tuesday from now till October, check back here on my site to watch the latest preview video. I’ll explain the story behind each song, plus you’ll be able to hear a clip of it. Hopefully this will give you some insight into the sound and the heart of the new record. This week we’ll be previewing the first single, “Joy Unspeakable”. I hope this song encourages you. I’d love to get your comments and feedback.

Love what I hear… Can’t wait for the new album! Thanks for being real.

I’m liking the new album already. If your past work is any indication of what’s to come, I really look forward to hearing the new CD.
Peace & Luv

Another home run.
You are by far the most diverse and relevant christian musical artist of our time, to say nothing of the outstanding performer. It is always a joy to listen to your music.

Todd is such a gifted writer, and performer, I can’t wait until the new CD…..And I get to see him for the first time live..on September 19….in Chicago….

I know what you mean about being His bride and walking through life with Him. It is new to me. I’ve looked for love in all the wrong places my whole life and been hurt and disappointed time and again. I know that He will never let me down and I am so grateful to have finally found Him, who fills that void completely. You have been an invaluable tool in helping me find Him. Thank you, Todd.

First, Congratulations on getting married!! Secondly, I believe that Christ uses you to share His word through your music. I thank Jesus for giving you the words to reach as many as you have, not just with fluff lyrics but straight from the heart songs that I can attest to have given my encouragement through some tough times.

Heavenly Father, may Your love, glory and mercy be shown through all we do. Continue to bless Todd with his gift of music and give us the strength to do Your will and reach those You would have us reach. In, Jesus’ name I pray. Amen

So looking forward to the new record. You are so instrumental in spreading God’s Word. I see you every time you are in the Phoenix area. Thank you Todd.

The new song sounds great. Looking forward to the new album!

Todd, I’m soooo excited that you’re coming to Indy in August !! I almost fell of my chair in my cubicle at work when I found out via an email that you were coming.
My wife and friends drove 3 hours to see you in Chicago area earlier this year; this time it feels like you’re coming to see “us” :) I am recruiting everyone I know in Indy to be there Aug.16th @8pm so don’t be surprised if the Farm Bureau becomes so crowded that giant “pig-cooling” fans are moved into the building just to keep it bearable. lol.
Your lyrics obviously come from the heart, are honest, teach me/open up Biblical passages, and they warm my soul. I can think of no greater compliment, I hope you humbly can agree. Thank you for following your spiritual gift of writing/singing for Jesus. Thank you for keeping me close to My Jesus.
P.S. Diggin’ the new black Godin guitar !

I believe the comment above is my husband (Dean). He listens to your music almost day and night, it’s always on and it’s always superb ! He plays your music in church and Kairos Prison Ministry bi-annual weekends for the offenders as much as possible. “No better lyrics” he says and he’s right there. If not listening to you on CD, his guitar is playing it at home constantly.
Honestly, I can’t really comment from the shortness of the clip of the new song but it sounds like you, it’s written by you, and so it’s gotta be great.
Oh, FOOD/RESTAURANT suggestions while in Indy:
Pancho’s Taquira 7023 N Michigan Rd (71st & Michigan Road HW421 NW Indy): get the STEAK Pancho’s burrito & Horchata to drink.
Momma Corolla’s Old Italian 1031 E 54th St (just east of 54th and College Ave.): get anything…and the toasted ravioli appetizer !
Pizza mood ? Best in Indy: Monical’s, Arni’s, Bazbeaux’s, Pizza King (sweet BBQ w sausage…ohhh myyy).
Bravo Kitchen Italiana 8651 Castle Creek Pkwy East Dr (NW Indy, 86th & Township Line Rd…get that GPS out); the sundried tomato oil w bread at start of meal alone is a reason to go, chicken marsala excels
Vito Provolone’s Italian 8031 S Meridian St (just north of Greenwood, IN): if they’re making mushroom soup that day you’re blessed indeed and the lemon chicken, mixed sauce tortellini, or chck marsala all primo !!
There ya go…now there’s some feedback to chew on…lol.
We pray for you and your message to go where God leads.
Listen, listen, love, love

Todd, Not going to lie, shed a few tears when I found out you got married, but after your last questions album, I began praying you would find somebody and get settled down that way…so answered prayer. =D I loved how you connected the joy of being married to the joy of being the bride of Christ and how that is unspeakable that we should be a part of so great a promise. Our church is going thru grave difficulties, as are many others. The Lord is moving in the church in America right now and preparing his Bride thru fire and high waters and what remains will be the true church and “Joy Unspeakable”. Love ya, Bro.

Not since Rich Mullins has an artist written songs that speak to me so deeply. God-given words, amazing voice. Thanks for helping to fill the void Rich left. Thanks be to God!

Todd: Thanks for this new song Joy Unspeakable. I just heard it today on the radio, and let me tell you this song is really anointed. Just hearing you sing the words – I cant begin to tell all that you have done for me, its Joy Unspeakable – it really spoke and made Joy come alive with in. Oh My, how we do indeed serve a Mighty – Awesome, Wonderful God!!

Thanks for being a Blessing with the Gift God gave to you

First, let me say that I’m so excited to hear your new album. My entire family enjoys your music immensely. I have a question about “Joy Unspeakable”. Who wrote it?

I love what I have heard thus far. I’m really excited about this album. I remember seeing Todd in concert a few years ago in Charleson wv with Big Daddy Weave and Nate Sallie and it was amazing. I can hardly wait until the show on October 10th.
